SELECTION GUIDE

Planning workshop space for a welding workstation

The machine footprint is only one part of the layout. Plan the full working area and the way components move through it.

Map the full work area

Record rail travel, robot sweep, maximum component size and fixture positions. Add the space required for loading, turning, maintenance and operator access. Keep crane movement, columns, doors and adjacent production equipment in the layout review.

Review utilities and protection

Confirm the proposed electrical supply, grounding, shielding gas, compressed air where required, fume extraction and environmental conditions with the supplier. Foundations, guarding, interlocks and operating procedures require a site-specific engineering and safety review; an illustration is not an installation plan.

Prepare a useful layout brief

Share a dimensioned plan, available height, component weights, lifting method and photos of the intended installation area. Identify fixed obstructions and the permitted direction of material flow. The resulting equipment layout should be reviewed alongside the welding sequence.

General selection guidance. Actual feasibility, configuration and acceptance criteria require review of your component and project conditions.
